Indige­nous Don­gria Khond peo­ple in Oris­sa state, India, are strug­gling against a forestry depart­ment deci­sion to cut their food-bear­ing trees and take away their food-grow­ing plots in favour of teak and euca­lyp­tus plan­ta­tions. The women tell about their tac­tics and the nutri­tion­al and envi­ron­men­tal supe­ri­or­i­ty of their tra­di­tion­al foods and way of life.
