Website: pub32.ezboard.com/fbreakbreadfrm2
E-mail:
Genre: Hip Hop

Episode Listing

It's a Hip Hop history lesson. Your hosts DJ Hunnicutt, DarkO, France Panse and Mr. Ness (aka Satchel Paige) dig up the original breaks that have been sampled by your favorite Hip Hop songs and play them for you. Whether it's soul, jazz, rock, easy listening, pop or comedy records, if it's been sampled by a Hip Hop producer, it'll find it's way onto Born in the Break.

Every episode we also have a Breakdown, a weekly feature on a specific artist. Past Breakdowns have included Booker T. & the MGs, The Beatminerz, Bill Cosby, Prince Paul and Roy Ayers.

Oh, and we argue lots too, but that's only because Mr. Ness is always wrong.

Check out our website for weekly playlists!

You'll find all the songs here, including influential picks from the decade's most popular stars. You must be warned, however, that this show might spark the desire to the do the running man. Weekly Industry updates from our Music Insider aka Mr Glove Droppa live from the Nations Capital….Battle of the Beats and of course the New Joint of the Week where listeners call in to recommend to either “Rush or Flush It” to the New Joint of the week…Don’t worry we also mix some of today’s music with the old because what is old is always new again….
