Barista! A Cabaret of Caffeinated Proportions Venue 1– MTC Backstage
at the Mainstage
Barista tells the stories of the workers
and customers who frequent a coffee shop. The five
songs were the highlight of the show. I especially liked Black Café, the
opening number that was full of soul and energy. Unfortunately, the stories
around the songs were weak. I think a better format would be to focus on the
life of one character instead of trying to tell the stories of many
characters in this quick 40-minute show. - Justin Olynyk
