Venue 2 –MTC Up The Alley

This play looks at the shame of Lisa Nowak, the astronaut who was arrested in 2007 for threatening a woman who she believed was also in love with the person that she loved.

I didn’t like this play. The play portrays Nowak as a naughty sex addict for the first half hour and then does a complete turnaround and portrays her as a human being with real emotions in the last 10 minutes. Her character change came completely out of nowhere which left me confused. I suppose this was meant to be her moment to speak to the world, because previously all we have heard is police officers, psychologists and media commentators giving their guesses as to her motivation. For me, the only interesting part of the show where the funny and naughty songs.
