Glory Days

Venue 7 – The Conservatory

This one-man show written and performed by Rod McDonald draws the audience into the world of a one time Canadian Heavyweight Boxing Champion.  However, this play quickly becomes a story about so much more than boxing.  He takes us through his life - from growing up in downtown east side Vancouver, to becoming a world famous boxer and finally telling us what happens when his glory days are done.

This show is incredibly moving, taking the audience through a full array of emotions.  McDonald gives an outstanding performance as a working class boxer who has been given a few unfair punches.  Definitely, Glory Days is a show that you should catch at this year’s Fringe.
