In Jessica
Live!, writer/performer Jessica Burleson presents various comedy sketches including
a team building exercise in the workplace, adoration of a French musician, an
argument between different cultures and a grammar lesson. First and foremost,
Burleson does a terrific job selling the material. It’s a treat to
watch her alter her delivery and facial expressions. Generally, even though the
sketches are several minutes each, the material is quite funny, with the
ethnic argument and the grammar lesson being the highlights of the show. However,
I thought the adoration of a French musician was not entirely successful
because Burleson lacked the passion to convince me that she adored the
