The Red Handkerchief Venue 9 – The Rachel Browne Theatre
(WCD Studio)
Eddy and
Emily have been living together for over one year. Unfortunately, they are
totally different people – she likes to socialize while he would rather
read books. As an interesting twist, both of them invent lovers to help fill
the void of what’s missing in their own real lives. I really
liked this play. I liked how the creation of these 2 lovers showed the
imagined ideal of love – it can be as beautiful, exciting and playful as
you want it to be. Compare it to the reality – people don’t communicate
well with each other and spend their time arguing and complaining. In
addition, both actors do a lovely job distinguishing their real life
characters with their invented characters which adds to the fun. - Justin Olynyk UMFM |
