Evelyn Reese’s Family Room Venue 2 – MTC Up
the Alley
In this
one-woman show, Evelyn Reese talks about her friends and husbands. While the
script is full of funny one-liners, I found Susan Fischer’s performance
annoying. She decides to play Evelyn Reese as an over the top jerk. The
audience can not sympathize with her; we can only laugh at her. Additionally,
when an actor starts their character so high, there’s no range for the
character to grow. The character can only stay high (which is what Evelyn
