Spiral Dive Venue 4– Onstage
at the Playhouse
Spiral
Dive tells the
story of Jack, a young Canadian who signs up for the air force during World
War II. This intelligent play looks at the various ideas surrounding war
– heroism, freedom, young men being sent off to die and killing
innocent civilians. In short, the play shows both sides of war. The play
is very well staged, especially the tense combat scenes cleverly brought to
life with toy planes. Blake William Turner is incredible as Jack. It’s
wonderful to watch him change from a confident and joyful person to someone
who is scared while flying combat missions. - Justin Olynyk UMFM |
