Zdenka Now! Venue 10– Planetarium
Auditorium
Zdenka Now! is a series of short scenes. One is deadly serious
while the others are comedic. This was
an extremely disorganized show. To me, the show seemed like a series of
disconnected scenes done in different styles. Even though the program writeup suggests the scenes are connected by the search
for love, the scene with Zdenka had nothing to do
with this topic. Also, there were two really long costume changes, which is unacceptable
in a Fringe show. To change characters, all you need to do is put on a
different jacket. Other scenes, especially the car convention, were way over
the top and consequently had no emotional connection. The only scene that
worked for me was the dramatic scene about a musician losing his memory. - Justin Olynyk
